We, the Carmelite Missionaries, are a religious congregation founded in Ciudadela, Menorca, Spain in 1860-1861 by Father Francisco Palau y Quer, Discalced Carmelite. Our Congregation was affiliated to the Order of the Teresian Carmel on the 8th of October 1906 and approved as an Institute of
Pontifical Right by Pope Pius X on the 3rd December 1907.
For us, the charism consists in living the centrality of the Mystery of the Church: love of God and neighbor as a prophetic sign of communion. We receive the charism as founding grace, transmitted, consolidated and made as project of life by the sisters who preceded us until this day.
The missionary imprint of our Congregation is characterized by openness to different apostolic fields and availability to "go where the glory of God calls me", traits inherited from our Founder.
