Three Virtues of Advent:
Silence, Solitude and Stillness
Silence means turning off the chatter and cleansing the static of the outside and inner worlds to treasure Him in your quiet heart.
Solitude means turning away from creatures even at times, your children, spouse, and boss(!) - and embracing, like the Lord Jesus, the metaphysical mountain, desert and sea wherever they are for you in your life.
Stillness means "Be still and know that I am God" Ps. 46:10. You need to turn off the treadmill of your life, at times, and embrace stillness.
Let us prepare our spiritual womb to make it as a cradle for Jesus to stay. Let us welcome Him with a joyful heart. Let us spend some time in silence, solitude and stillness, so that we can give a space for Jesus to enter into our being.
